Tips for this count
Stand in front of the pile and photograph the log ends straight on.
Outline one log of a middle size, and allow a wide size range in step 4 for mixed diameters.
For a long deck, take one photo per section and count each one.
Bark, snow or dark ends that vary a lot count better with Smart AI.
What people use it for
Tallying loads at the landing or the mill yard, checking a truck before it leaves, and keeping a count of firewood stock.

For a good count
Take the photo straight on, with even light and no strong shadows.
The objects should look alike and not overlap much.
Any size works. Large photos are reduced to 2400 pixels on the long side, so very small objects in a huge photo are best cropped first.
